2024 MOLO Course

The MS Chapter of SWANA is pleased to once again provide a local in-person offering of SWANA’s Manager of Landfill Operations (MOLO) Course to those seeking first-time certification, professional development hours for existing SWANA certification, or simply an opportunity to learn more about landfill operations.
Course Venue and Accommodations
The course will be held in Meridian, MS, July 9-11, 2024. The Board of Directors is working to establish the class location, but registrants may book their overnight accommodations by contacting our third-party provider using the information below. Further details including the venue location will be shared via email with all registrants once finalized.

Course Schedule and Examination
The MOLO Course schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, July 9: 8am-5pm
Wednesday, July 10: 8am-5pm
Thursday, July 11: 8am-5pm
Friday, July 12 (for exam takers ONLY): exam time TBD that morning
The class offering will include 3 full days of course lessons. While the certification test is now only offered online, the Board is evaluating the ability to offer course registrants space to take the online exam on Friday July 12. All interested in taking the exam should keep in mind that they will have to furnish their own laptop with internet capability to take the exam. Further examination details are forthcoming.
Course Fees
MOLO Course – $700/person
MOLO Exam – $250 for members; $400 for non-members (payable to SWANA International, NOT the MS Chapter)
Course Registration
All interested in taking the course need to register for the course using our online registration page (see button below) which also allows online payment if preferred. PAYMENT IS DUE PRIOR TO OR DURING THE COURSE. If unable to pay at the time of registration, after registering online please cancel the PayPal payment and submit a request to Charlie Bock via email (cbock@mdeq.ms.gov) or fax (601-961-5785) to be provided an invoice to pay via check OR a PayPal invoice for later online payment.
